Stray Dogs
Please work with animal control for any stray dogs you have found. It is illegal to rehome a stray dog without serving a stray hold where every conceivable effort is made to find owner. This includes animals that appear to be neglected or abused – these especially need to be reported to animal control. If they are severely injured or sick we will work with animal control to pull them immediately if we have the resources to do so. The stray hold STARTS when you contact animal control and file a found report for the dog/cat. Animal control can best advise how long the stray hold is for your jurisdiction.
